Accessibility Statement for CENTA

Last updated: 01/09/2026

Our commitment

We want everyone who uses to be able to find, use, and understand our content. We strive to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA and to provide an inclusive experience for all users, including people who use assistive technologies.

Measures we take to support accessibility

We integrate accessibility into our design, development, and content workflows. This includes:

  • Designing with color contrast, clear hierarchy, and consistent navigation.
  • Providing text alternatives for non‑text content (images, icons, charts).
  • Ensuring all functionality is available from a keyboard.
  • Supporting screen reader and zoom use with proper landmarks, headings, and labels.
  • Avoiding content that flashes more than three times per second.
  • Testing new features against WCAG criteria before release.
  • Training our team on accessibility best practices.

Conformance status

Our goal is WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance. Some parts of the site may not yet fully conform. We are actively working to resolve any issues as we find them.

Technical specifications and compatibility

The site relies on the following technologies for conformance with WCAG:

  • HTML, WAI‑ARIA, CSS, JavaScript
  • Proper use of semantic headings ( to ), landmarks (header, nav, main, footer), and ARIA where necessary

The website is designed to be compatible with:

  • The latest two versions of major browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari)
  • Mobile operating systems (iOS and Android) and desktop operating systems (Windows and macOS)

Older browsers and operating systems may exhibit reduced accessibility.

Accessibility of third‑party content

Some content or features are provided by third parties (for example, embedded maps, videos, or social widgets). We cannot always control the accessibility of these services but we aim to select accessible providers and offer alternatives where possible.

Known limitations and workarounds

We are aware of the following potential limitations and are working to fix them:

  • Legacy PDF/Office documents may not be fully accessible. Workaround: request an accessible version (see below).
  • User‑generated content may not always include text alternatives. Workaround: report issues and we will assist.
  • Video captions/transcripts may be missing on older videos. Workaround: we can provide transcripts on request.

If you encounter an issue not listed here, please let us know.

Your feedback helps us improve. If you experience barriers on this site, contact us: [email protected]

Please include the page URL, a description of the problem, your browser/assistive tech, and any relevant screenshots.

Alternative formats

If you need information on this site in a different format (e.g. accessible PDF, large print, easy read, audio, or braille), contact us using the details above. We will consider your request and get back to you within 10 working days.

Assessment approach

We assess accessibility through:

  • Self‑evaluation against WCAG 2.2 using automated and manual testing (keyboard, screen reader, zoom).
  • Periodic audits using tools such as WAVE, axe, and Lighthouse.
  • User feedback and usability testing.

Enforcement (UK users)

If you have contacted us and are not satisfied with our response, the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) can provide advice. Public sector bodies may be subject to enforcement by the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) under the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

If you are not a UK public sector organization, you can remove or adapt this section.
